We picked the remaining grapes. There was no rot. There was some evidence of poor berry set as a possible result of spraying before the plants had completed the blooming process in the spring. It was noted also that the plants should have had some water in the weeks leading up to harvest.

We were in the process of taking down the bird net when it started to rain. Between showers, we tried to finish the task, but decided to abandon it since the vines had grown into the net to such a great extent. When it is time for pruning the vines, the net should come out more easily. Next year, the plan is to keep the vines trimmed so that they do not become so entangled in the net.
